I wanted an easier way to fill cases with powder thrown from my RCBS 1500 automatic powder thrower than having to pour the powder through a funnel while balancing a case. This is the perfect solution. Powder can now be taken directly from the scale pan and the case neck inserted for a clean and simple pour (except my .17 calibers which are too small to seal the pouring neck and still need a funnel). Static is minimal (perhaps because I grounded my unit) and easily controlled by a wipe of a dryer sheet. Ideal for cartridges from .223 on up. The weight is substantial enough for a good hold and ergonomically designed for convenience.WORD OF WARNING: I'm not sure one can regulate the "zero" on a conventional beam scale enough to adjust for the increased weight in comparison to that of the usual scale pan. With electronic scales it is a simple matter of "zeroing" the pan weight and proceeding with calibration.
