A perfect pan for frying eggs with just a tiny bit of oil, bacon drippings or butter. Other items saute evenly and slide around the pan. Put it right into water while it's still warm and the food comes right off of it. My only disappointment is that it did not come with the lid, and for that price I would have thought it would. I highly recommend this cookware. I have pieces of this that are over 20 years old and still working very well.I have two Scanpan frying pans and one large Scanpan baking pan. They are a bit heavy but are extremely durable and heat is evenly distributed through them. Food does not stick to the pans and they are extremely easy to clean, but I strongly recommend hand-washing. I once put one of them in the dishwasher and the bottom of the pan darkened; the next time I hand-washed the pan, and the blackened color on the bottom came off -- on the sponge. We have used this pan about once or twice a week since buying it in September 2018 with no problems. I would recommend this pan to a friend. We purchased Scanpan in the past. About 20 years ago and replaced 2 of the 8 about 3 years ago. Needed a real big one and no regrets about this one.Nothing seems to beat the durability and nothing is as easy to clean than my scanpans. I love that they’re made in Denmark. I especially love their sales because they are expensive. They’re worth it.I've worn several out and am happy to replace with a new one. Perfect for my every day omelets and other sautéing jobs. After so many years of buying cast iron or lesser ceramic nonstick pans, looking for that perfect balance of easy to use and nonstick and non-toxic, I can say this is the only pan I ever use or ever will use. It’s worth every penny. I trust it to be completely safe, it’s completely nonstick, you can tell there’s no coating that will ever come off, it’s sturdy and well-made, the heat distribution is incredible, I can’t say enough about it. All my other pans sit in the cover.I am seriously impressed with all the Scanpan products. I have 2 skillets and a sauce pan now and all are outstanding. Yes, they are extremely expensive, but they are worth it. I typically have to throw out the cheap crap you buy at most stores after a couple of years because the surface scratches and wears off (and no, I don't use metal utensils). These don't show any signs of wear. Their heavy construction allows them to hold and distribute heat evenly, even on electric ranges. Well worth the cost in my opinion!Yes, this is truly non stick. No oil needed for eggs (although I do use a bit). Performs fantastically.BUT - let's see over time how does the non stick hold.I do own Scanpan 32cm CTX which lost most of its non stick coating, but is still OK. The scanpan 1.8l CTX saucepan is catastrophic - the eggs literally burn into them, I've never seen such a bad performance. So for now 5/5, but the ultimate test of non sticks is time - so far all my Scanpans have disappointed after 2years.Great pan but if you can afford the next size up get it you'll not regret buying this pan extremely heavy will lastI already have a larger pan, but needed a smaller size. This is exactly what I needed. Scanpan products last and I can highly recommend.I went for Scanpan despite the price after being frustrated by cheaper alternatives losing their non stickiness. Bought this after using the 28cm for a year with no deterioration. Although they aren't cheap Scanpan have the best non-stick surface I've used in terms of durability. Try to avoid using metal utensils on it and it will last and last.Do I like Scanpan. This is my second set of pots and fry pans. Last set lasted me about 17 or 18 years. Nothing burns or sticks in the bottom of them.
