First I’d I keto say that this product is designed for the earlier model sbc where the oil dip stick is on the left side of the engine block make sure to check where you’re is located before buying. Also I found out that the studs needed to lift this product are not included with it so you will have to find some. Lastly those bolts used to gain clearance for the rotating assembly will run into a stock oil pan; if you plan on using your stock oil pan you will have to cut it open and weld a spacer to gain clearance. Once all of these setbacks are overcome the piece actually looks and fits nicely, I also found that oil pressure control with this product added is absolutely great! Especially in high rpm. However with as great as this product preforms all the other issues too lots of time, thought, and fabrication to overcome. With the cost of an aftermarket oil pan with a built in windage tray being around $150-200 I would strongly suggest that you just bite the bullet and spend a little extra cash. It is really effective for reducing headaches... but if you like a challenge be my guest! Just plan to spend about 6-8 hours of fab time to make everything look and fit correctly.
